Digital Stethoscope for Telemedicine

In rural India, telemedicine has created demand for diagnostic tools that are both accessible and effective. Ausculo is a thesis project aimed at designing a digital stethoscope that works for CHOs and ANMs with limited technical skills. It addresses challenges of usability, durability, and doctor communication in field conditions. The project combines design thinking and real-world insights to deliver a solution rooted in empathy and simplicity.

STEM Learning Through Inclusive Design

STEM education empowers individuals to be self-sufficient and empathetic, yet visually impaired students are often excluded due to inaccessible teaching methods and costly resources. Conceptual clarity is hindered by verbal instruction, practical experiments remain visual-centric, and abstract concepts lack tactile representation. This project aims to develop affordable DIY science/robotics kits to enable hands-on learning and bridge the inclusion gap in STEM education.

Mapping Sand’s Journey Through Systems Thinking

Sand is the second most consumed natural resource, yet its role in development is often overlooked. This project investigates patterns behind sand usage in India—how extraction, regulation, and informal economies drive unsustainable consumption. Through fieldwork and systems mapping, it uncovers behavioral loops and proposes design-based frameworks and conceptual tools to help people rethink material use and enable more conscious development.
